Privacy, stated plainly
This policy describes the systems USIDM actually operates — not aspirations. The site collects nothing beyond what you deliberately submit.
What we collect
The institutional inquiry form collects what you enter: your interest, institution, country, role, name, work email, optional markets and program details, timeline, and your message, together with your consent. The student quick start collects what you enter there: your name, WhatsApp/mobile number, email, country and city, your current school and study level, your study goal and intake preference, your preferred language and preferred way to continue, an optional note, and your consent. Where you arrived from an event or campaign link, the campaign source is recorded with your submission. After you submit, if you tell us when you would prefer to speak, we record that preference: the day and time of day that suit you, an alternative if you give one, the format you chose, an optional earliest date, your time zone as reported by your browser, and an optional note. Stating a preference does not book an appointment — USIDM confirms the conversation with you. We use it to review your inquiry and respond — nothing else.
No tracking
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and uses no tracking of any kind. Browsing it leaves no record with us.
Where it lives
Submitted inquiries are stored in a controlled database (Neon Postgres, hosted in the United States) with access limited to USIDM's founder. A notification of each inquiry is delivered by email through Resend, our delivery processor. The mailbox is a notification channel — the database is the record. Students who give an email address also receive a confirmation from USIDM carrying their reference code and a private, expiring link for stating that preference; the link is stored only as an irreversible hash, so it cannot be reconstructed from our records.
How long we keep it
Institutional inquiries and student quick-start submissions are retained for 24 months from submission — extended only when there is continuing contact or an active engagement with you — and then deleted automatically. To ask about your information or request its deletion, use the contact route on this site and reference the submission (students: the USIDM reference shown when you submitted, if you kept it; otherwise the details you submitted).
Abuse prevention
To limit automated abuse, the submitting network address is stored only as a salted cryptographic hash and erased within 30 days. It is used for rate-limiting and nothing else.
Institutional and student information
Institutional inquiries and student quick-start submissions are held in structurally separate systems with separate schemas. They are never merged, and neither is ever sold or shared beyond the processors named above.
